On October 7, 2010, Miss Reichel’s class participated in Jumpstart to Read’s “Read for the Record” program. On this day, millions of people read Ezra Jack Keats’ The Snowy Day in both classrooms and homes. After reading the book, the students in Miss Reichel’s class wrote their own seasonal tale about an autumn friendship.
