PostHeaderIcon Welcome

Hello!  Welcome to my page. I am very excited for another great year in physical education. We have a lot of new skills and activities that we are going to be doing this year. But most of all we are going to be working every day to become healthier individuals. I am looking forward to this year and sharing my love for sports and excercise with all of you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  aarias@jefftwp.org

Briggs students, please remember to wear your sneakers on your physical education days! All 1st graders and Mrs. Curry’s pm Kindergarten have P.E. on Mondays and 2nd graders have P.E. on Tuesdays. If you are not wearing sneakers and are not prepared you will not be able to participate in our activities that day.

Our Stanlick 4th and 5th graders have been very busy in our football unit. We have been working on all the skills that are involved in playing football, like throwing and catching, punting, snapping a ball, and have also been learning the positions in football. We are culminating our skills this week by playing a lead up game called Football Frenzy, we are able to incorporate all of our skills in this game.

The Feelin’ Good® Mileage Club is North America’s premier walking/running program for schools. Last year, more than 2.5 million children in nearly 15,000 schools logged almost 30 million miles (48 million kilometres). This amount of activity helped reduce playground hassles, increase kids’ learning readiness and fight obesity. Each week 2 classes will walk/run the designated area and for every mile the child is rewarded with a Toe Token (brightly colored plastic foot) to put on a shoelace or chain.
